We live in a time that is mentally and emotionally very demanding for many of us. There is an ongoing information overload at our work, our smartphone and around us in general. Every day the world creates 2,5 quintilion bytes of data. Much of this is created passively through the technology we use. Everytime we click on a link or check an app we give away some of our attention. But this wealth of information creates poverty of attention. It makes us feel tired and less grounded. How can we feel more relaxed and focused?
We believe that the solution lies within the intelligence of our body and the free source of nature. Yoga, surfing and being outside are perfect tools to live closer to the natural rhythms of the world. To put it simply, rhythm in general is fundamental to our wellbeing. It is the keynote of nature. Movement is not just a sign of life, it is life. And when you move into your body it returns to the balance that it naturally has.
The regular practise of yoga has been proven to reduce stress, improve the symptons of a (mild) depression and it boosts the right chemicals in your brain. But the biggest natural mood-enhancer is surfing. Research shows us that only being in the water for 30 minutes already has a major positive effect on releasing feel-good hormones like serotonine and decreasing your cortisol levels. The result is that you feel more confident, sleep better and have more clarity of thoughts.
